At Geoscope, trainees are supported with a clear pathway to grow from entry-level field training into certified, senior, and leadership roles.
Learn the fundamentals of utility locating, safety procedures, equipment operation, and field best practices under supervision.
Perform basic utility locating tasks independently while continuing to develop technical skills and field experience.
Achieve certification in Geoscope technology, demonstrating competency in advanced locating techniques and equipment usage.
Earn industry-recognized Certloc certification, validating professional knowledge, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
Handle complex locating projects, mentor junior team members, and provide technical expertise in challenging field situations.
Oversee field operations, coordinate teams, ensure quality standards are met, and support project delivery and client satisfaction.
Develop people-management skills, coach and support teams, drive performance, and contribute to company growth and culture.
Lead departments or business operations, oversee strategic planning, resource allocation, team development, and organizational success.
This pathway gives you the opportunity to gain practical field experience, work towards industry-recognised certifications, develop leadership capability, and build a long-term career in the utility locating industry.
At Geoscope, we don’t just hire trainees—we develop future industry professionals through structured learning, field coaching, practical assessments, and ongoing certification opportunities delivered through our own Geoscope University.
